From Ukraine to Asia on a Bicycle with VPN Unlimited
It seems that the VPN benefits on the trip abroad have long been indisputable. So many articles and posts were published, covering nearly all possible use cases that may happen to a tourist. But, we all know well – seeing is more believing than just words. Now it’s time to show you our VPN Unlimited app in work.
Today we are thrilled to share that we decided to support a travel nut, Ruslan Verin, as sponsors on his trip on a bicycle from Ukraine to Singapore that started last Saturday. This is a 6-month journey in which he will cover 8,700 miles, cross 14 countries, pass several climate and time zones, and The Himalayas. You can check the map of his trip here.
Verin is going to ride through Pakistan and Iran that are on the top of the list of countries with the strictest internet censorship. To ensure he has access to his social networks to share impressions online, and can use VoIP services to stay in touch with family and friends, we gave him a 6-month subscription to VPN Unlimited.
This is a second trip on a bicycle for Ruslan. In May he came back from a 178-day tour across Africa. It was a rough one. Sandstorms, lack of food and water, and poisonous snakes and scorpions are just a few menaces he faced.
What he didn’t expect were restrictions and limits imposed on the internet. He was trying to actively post his pictures and videos to social networks throughout his trip. Right when he left Ukraine and arrived in Turkey he realized the access to web resources is not free around the world. There and later on he sometimes had to wait for a few days or get to another city or even country to be able to get in touch with his mother and friends, and share his adventurous travel experience with his 3k Facebook followers.
This time, Ruslan Verin will be able to keep in touch every day and everywhere – from Turkey to Pakistan to Iran to Singapore. Let’s wish him to get Singapore on time, safe and sound, and with tons of amazing impressions.
Throughout this journey, we’ll be posting info about his adventures. Don’t miss the news!
